Terms of Service

Last updated: June 17, 2026

1. Acceptance

By installing or using Hallwil Filters (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

The App is provided to merchants who operate a Shopify store. You must have authority to bind the store to these Terms.

2. Service description

Hallwil Filters provides product filtering, search, and discovery for Shopify storefronts via an embedded admin application, background indexing, and a public Discovery API accessed through Shopify App Proxy.

We may update features, limits, and pricing as described in the app listing and Billing section.

3. Merchant responsibilities

You are responsible for your store content, theme integration, and compliance with Shopify policies and applicable law.

You must not use the App to process unlawful content or to circumvent Shopify or third-party service limits.

You are responsible for maintaining access to your Shopify admin and for charges incurred through Shopify Billing.

4. Data and third-party services

The App stores shop configuration, filter definitions, and operational metadata in PostgreSQL. Product search data is indexed in Typesense. Background jobs use Redis.

These services may be hosted by us or reputable cloud providers. Data processing is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Availability and support

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Free or trial infrastructure may spin down after periods of inactivity.

Support is provided on a reasonable-effort basis through channels indicated in the app or our documentation site.

6. Limitation of liability

The App is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the fees you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred US dollars if no fees were paid.

7. Termination

You may stop using the App by uninstalling it from Shopify. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required by law or Shopify.

Upon uninstall, Shopify revokes API access. Residual data may be deleted according to our Privacy Policy and retention practices.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
